Pet portraiture is my passion. I’m most likely sitting in my living room painting someones pet right now . . . or creating a Naive piece from my Swedish childhood memories. Either way you can be sure I’m enjoying myself!
You might know me from Paws at the Park
This will be my sixth year with ‘Paws’, the best dog show in Australia. I always join them in August at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds and set up my stall for the day. There you will be able to see examples of my Pet portraits, have a chat and of course order your own portrait.
It can be hard to visualise the different canvas sizes and their thicknesses so I try to make it easier for everyone by displaying every size I offer. It’s also great to be able to see oils and acrylics next to each other as there is a difference in finish and feel.
I enjoy the day enormously as I get to cuddle everyone’s ‘babies’ and hear lovely stories. I treasure the friendly relationships that develop when someone becomes a Pet portrait customer. It’s wonderful when customers return year after year to say hi and to commission another portrait.

I paint my childhood memories.
I grew up in Sweden and a few years ago I decided to record my colourful memories in a Naive (with Perspective) painting style. I wanted to paint on an earthy, rough-textured surface so I mixed sand, acrylic paint and medium and covered the canvas, making grooves and cracks. Every painting I create feels like home.
